On the face of it, a great win. In reality, we trudged off the pitch on the way to a stern talking to from Elliot because the scoreline could, and should, have been much more emphatic against an opposition that are clearly struggling having lost a significant number of the team that saw them promoted two seasons ago. In fairness, the slightly disappointed feeling was unfair, as we strung together some fantastic, flowing hockey at times & really showed how the team has progressed from previous years when we've somehow struggled to put teams away. We need to build on those positives as we head towards the Christmas break with some crucial and tough fixtures coming up - including next week's crunch game against local rivals Loughborough Town on the Uni's waterbased pitch which has always seen us struggle.
