Match Report | The latest pre-season run out for against local team Sikh Union (Nottingham) saw a fine display of attacking hockey from both sides end in an 8-6 win for Boots. Boots dominated possession for much of the game and with the attacking skills on both sides it was never going to be a low scoring game! It was a tough day for the midfield departments as the ball was sprayed around the pitch. 3-2 down at the break Boots Coach Andy Fairbrother was happy for his team to continue to play attacking hockey but requested more simplicity and speed in decision making to maximise outcomes from their possession. The second half saw Boots steam roller Sikh Union with consistently good play across the pitch and some clinical work in the circle. Man of the Match and hat-trick hero Jude Chapman commented: "I know this was Manny Soar's old team so the boys really wanted to put in a winning performance. Last week we did the same for Dockers against West Bridgford and we rose to the occasion again today. It was a crazy, end to end game but with plenty of goals at both ends I was 'super-happy' to grab my first hat-trick for the 1st Team".
