| Match Report | Innocent, Soar and Davies were all on target as Boots found a way to win against the flat back 11 of North Staffs. With Staffs taking the lead early on against the run of play, Boots had their work cut out to find a way through some resolute defending. In the end it way the relentless attacking style, ability to score from any channel and overall team fitness that paid off in the end. A 3-1 to keep the momentum up, and keep the pressure on the top teams in the league. Vice-Captain Alex Whit commented "I never felt the result was in doubt, but we had to find a way to score goals. Games get tighter in the second half of the season and we knew they'd be hard to break down." Midfield playmeker Adam Henfrey added "I was pumped for Manny to score today, he's been getting into the right places every game but just not getting the run of things. Probably needs to work on the celebrations a bit though!" |
