Match Report

A spirited performance by the students and a spot of  'foul-mouthed lunacy' from there coach meant the Boots had to knuckle down and work hard to come away with a win to maintain their position at the top of Midlands Division 1.

In a game that ebbed and flowed from the start, it wasn't until the closing 15 minutes that Boots took the lead and controlled posession to close the game out.  Goals again coming from 3 different scorers as Boots maintained their return to fast-flowing team haockey following the departure of Damien Jarzembowski; who was a central point for attack in the first have of the season.

A special day for forward Steve Hill who took his tally for the season above 10, two finely taken goals sealing numbers 10 and 11 in his first season with the club.

Boots Stalwart James Cameron-Williams commented; "It was one of those days today!  It challenged us all of the way and the team really worked together to get the result.  Obviously we hope that Adam and Alex make a full recovery, it's a shock to see them both with head injuries...I just hope Adam can remember his goal - it was right up there with the best I've seen."

Youngster Josh Dent added; "Wow! What a game! Had everything and Inno's goal was peng!"
