| Match Report | Boots came back from being a goal down twice to earn a draw in the Midlands Premier League fixture with Leicester 2nds. Both team played good quality passing hockey at times and it was Leicester that struck first to take the lead, Boots equalising from a well worked penalty corner routine before the break. The game continued to be competitive with both sides creating opportunities to score, again it was Leicester who broke the deadlock after a defensive mix up. However Boots continued to press and a desicive break from Ann Fairbrother open up the Leicester defence for Ellie Atkins to score a deserved equalliser (her second of the game). Next week Boots entertain Birmingham University 2nds, 10:30 start at Lady Bay. |
