Match Report |
Boots Ladies 1st grabbed their first win of the season with a 7-4 victory against the University of Birmingham 2’s in the Midlands Premier League last Saturday. This result moves Boots up to 3rd in the table, 4 points behind the leaders, Beeston. The game was always set to be experience against the youthful. Goals came from a range of Boots players early in the first half, with an impressive reserve hit from Claire Gribbin into the bottom left corner. Birmingham then huddled together and within a few minutes they had broken Boots defence by intercepting a ball and eventually scoring. At half time the score stood at 4-3 to Boots. Birmingham came out with confidence but were unable to stop Boots dominating and scoring more goals. In the end, experience triumphed. Next up for Boots is Northampton Saints Ladies on 13th October at Wootton Fields. |
