We got off to a flying start with a goal for Izzy coming in the first minute following intricate passing. The pressure continued and it looked like a 2-0 lead when a short corner was converted by Shelby, however, the umpire decided Manning were not ready and ordered a retake. Despite Boots having at least 80% of the possession, Manning took advantage of a misplaced pass and got an equaliser. It stayed that way til half time, when Jo got to offer some words of wisdom and 2 quick goals in the second half for Josi and Shelby (now a short corner specialist despite declaring she can’t hit the ball!) settled any nerves and saw Boots run out as comfortable winners.
