| Match Report | A solid start to the season for the Men’s 1s. A few cobwebs blown away in game 1 against Khalsa saw both sides, the umpires and to be fair many of the supporters find their feet.
Against Warwick it was a different story; Boots running riot with 5 superbly taken goals. After the learnings of the previous campaign it looks like a positive start with many players still returning to the squad.
New Coach, Danny Williams commented: “It was great to see the lads play competitive games and put some of our training into action. Josh Darby made a solid debut and has a promising future ahead of him, I was also impressed with the evergreen Fonters at the other end of the Age range!”
Outgoing captain, Adam Innocent added: “Without the Captaincy it’s been good to focus on my game; to come out of the Warwick game with 2 goals, 1 sic assist and winning a PS made me very happy. Moreso with our new coach giving me the go ahead for a Kebab to celebrate after the summer fitness regime - chicken/shish mix if you’re interested!” |
