Match Report | Loughborough Town 4 v 0 Boots So the day started without having any water bottles, practice hockey balls and a coach but we knew where the latter was. Game started well with Boots pressing well as a team and forcing Town into some sticky situations but Town moved well off the ball and got themselves out of those situations and it made the first part of the game quite even. The opposition got the first breakthrough after a well worked counter attack and then after a couple of Boots short corners, Town got one of their own and squeezed in a second. Half time 2-0 to Loughborough. After a good team talk, we started the second half like we started the first and began pressing hard up the pitch and we had our best spell of the game, where we kept the ball and created chances but it just wasn't happening. We didn't lose confidence and kept going and pressing for the goal but Town went upfield and scored a third and then shortly after a fourth and there was no coming back. After a good post match team talk, Boots are positive to get some points on the board next week at home (1.30pm) against league new boys Leicester.
Quote at half time - ''If you guys can comeback and get at least a point, I'll buy a round tonight" (Keith Kirkpatrick) Guess that didn't quite work....
