| Match Report | Wooo! Fabulous win against top of the league to take the ladies 2s to joint top of the league. It was a fairly even match for the most part, and although Boots seemsed to have the upper hand Derby Asterdale were always threatening on the break. The first goal went to Boots who held firm against some Derby Asterdale pressure to break out of their own D, and within 3 passes (Mase-Joker-Ali-Mason) had the ball in the back of the net. Some will say tap in, others will say an awesome reverse strick. The most important thing is it went in the goal! Derby Asterdale managed to pull one back within a few minutes (boo) after a breakaway of their own, but Boots kept the forward momentum to win a short corner. This was magnificently smashed in the back of the goal by Dawn! In the second half, it was a much tighter affair, with both teams having opportunities going forward, but it remained 2-1 at the finish. Next week...Ashbourne! |
