Ladies 4th Team Vs Monarchs 4s

Boots Ladies 4s had an excellent start to the season at Becket School today. Boots struggled to get going with a new side and a new formation to absorb. Boots put the pressure on monarchs D and a 1st half goal by Martina gave us the lead at half time. It wasn't until the second half that Boots settled into the game by taking advantage of Monarchs side of 10. The girls built the play around the back with Amy and Helen transferring the ball to Sarah Skirrow to build the play up field, leading to a cheeky goal by Bethan. Boots capitalised on the possession and with Monarchs struggling to defend with 10 players, a goal by man of the match, Sophie Brace caught the goalie by surprise. With help from the team and some excellent play on the right by George and Ruth, Martina added another 2 goals to her name with a hat-trick to make the final score 5-0. We look forward to a successful season and will continue to improve with a new squad of lovely ladies.
