Ladies 5th Team Vs Friendly

Well what a positive start to the season, with our 18 strong squad we lined up for our first friendly of the season, learning names as we went!
With a strong start down the right the ongoing pressure lead to the first goal by Katie Kelby via a short corner, long may she score goals. As the team settled the path was cleared for Emily E to score her first goal, long may she score goals. The game flowed between the two ends with a period of heavy defensive work keeping the op at bay, well done defense who all worked hard and put in strong tackles at critical moments.
The second half saw gaps opening up in the midfield and a lack of fitness starting to show.....however after a disallowed short cornet goal for the op a cracking forward pass by Ali L meant Emily E sweeped in her second goal, that really ended the match!

Our new members juniors and adults all did very well and we are excited and pleased to have them with us this season.
