Match Fees and expenses - new payment process 19/20

The way we collect match tax and expenses is changing! After feedback from our members and volunteers we have reviewed the best way for us to process payments for you…

All fees and expenses for Boots Hockey Club will now be processed through your club account (the same that we use for our membership fees). This includes all match fees, drivers’ mileage and umpiring payments which means that captains will no longer be collecting or coordinate any money on or after game days. Your club account will automatically work out the money you owe (or are owed) based upon your game selections and your captains match reports.

This process will make everything easier for you and the club. You will no longer need to remember to bring cash along to matches, your captains can forget about money on game day AND our finance team will have easily accessible records of all payments! Win – win - win!

The payment process:

  • On the 1st of each month your club account will calculate the money you owe from the previous month, this amount may include your membership fee if that is still to be paid (in full or in part).
  • On the 15th of each month you will get your monthly statement confirming the amount owed.
  • The amount shown in your statement is then due by the 1st of the next month.

How to pay:

Please set up a recurring Direct Debit, this way you do not need to do anything when you get your monthly statements - the amount shown will be collected from your account on or around the 1st of next month.

We are asking that all accounts are set-up with direct debits as it will help reduce the time our volunteers have to spend checking, reconciling and chasing for payments. However; if this is difficult please get in touch with our finance team by emailing membership@bootshc.co.uk.

I cannot pay by direct debit what do I do? 

We are asking everyone to make this step-change as it really does help our club.
