Hello everyone,

My name is Laura Mason and I'm the new social secretary of Boots Hockey Club for the 17-18 season! For those who don't know me, I can be found playing for our first team or with a whistle umpiring away on a Saturday (or up in the clubhouse with food/drink/both in hand)! Friday 8th September: Hockey do Rugby: Nottingham Rugby v Yorkshire Carnegie.
As most of you know, we share our grounds with Nottingham Rugby who play in the Championship. For our first casual get together, we shall watch Nottingham Rugby play their first Friday night game of the season (before league hockey starts and Friday night drinks for those over 18s are mostly no longer allowed!). Don't forget to pick up your loyalty card for the clubhouse for buy 6, get 1 free (valid on Nottingham Rugby match nights all season).
Tickets are just £10 for Boots HC adults when purchased in advance. Advance student tickets are £6 and Juniors (under 16) are just £1. Advance tickets can be purchased from the Nottingham Rugby Office, or money can be paid to me if you get in touch directly.

Saturday 14th October: Boots HC New Joiners: This is a chance for old and new members of the hockey club to get together for some fun and games at the clubhouse for the first main social event of the season. It will all kick off around 1930 in the clubhouse. Further details will follow...

Saturday 21st April: End of Season Dinner at Trent Bridge: The piece de la resistance as we all dress nicely to celebrate our (hopefully) successful season on and off the pitch. The date may change if any cricket internationals pop up, but hopefully won't so add the date to your calendars. Tickets will go on sale once the date has been confirmed in January.

Plans are underway for a Quiz Night, Christmas Party (provisionally 2nd December), cheese and wine night and social at Notts Bierkeller! Hopefully there will be something for everyone, and if you have any ideas or comments please drop me a line.
