Boots HC New Pitch!

It is with great pleasure that we can now confirm that we have placed a firm order for the Astroturf carpet replacement and floodlight upgrade project. The work is due to begin on Monday 28th July and should be complete by end September latest. We are doing all we can to get it finished a bit earlier, by mid-September to give people a chance to train on it before the league season starts, but hopefully you will all agree that just getting the pitch done and done to a high standard has to be the main priority. Captains will keep you informed about what this means in terms of mixed training, pre-season training and matches but we will try to get some slots booked at Nottingham Trent University, who have the same pitch we will be putting down, and/or Becket School.
From the 31st July, Mixed will take place at Nottingham Trent Uni, Clifton Campus (NG11 8NS) from 7pm till 8.30pm.
We will announce training schedules for the summer/September nearer the time.
It been a long hard slog over the last 2 years to get where we are now, and we would like to thank everyone who has helped us get to this point, but most notably the following: Amy Carter and Dawn Hughes who did a lot of the original funding application
work for us; Amy Briggs and Steve Firth who have helped on the club information and finances respectively; Ann Fairbrother, Mike Vipond and Tash O’Flaherty who have been involved in getting our Clubs First re-accreditation as without this, we couldn’t have accessed some of the funding. Thank you to everyone else who has been involved and apologies not to mention everyone by name. It obviously goes without saying that we also thank our funding partners; Nottinghamshire County Council, Sport England and England Hockey.
