Jack Frost has decided to hit Nottingham, and a frozen pitch saw one of our games cancelled. With the weather getting colder this week, make sure you keep an eye on the website/the facebook page to see how our beloved* pitch is coping.

Mens 3s remain undefeated with another victory against Warwick Students, although some weird blanks/early playing of uni teams means they are now 3rd in their league but with games in hand. In the other men’s games there were 2 wins, 1 draw and 2 defeats. Mens 1s and 5s have a blank weekend, but the other 4 teams are in action.

Operation Ladies (Fairbrother…we need a catchier name…) is going nicely, with the ladies 1s gaining their first national league victory and moving up to 9th in the table. Next week is Kendal who lie 7th and the ladies will be confident of grabbing another 3 points. The Ladies 2s saw off top of their league (Derby Asterdale) to replace them at the top of the league, but face another strong test at the weekend against Ashbourne (joint top) in the last fixture before the winter break. The ladies 3s to 5s had a weekend off league fixtures, but are back on it this week!

Our Men’s Vets had a storming game on Sunday against Lichfield, winning 10-0! See the new article by Steve for a match report – they are playing Worcester on the 12th January in the next round.

There’s 5 home games this weekend, including a fixture between the Mixed Team and Derbyshire Police on Sunday!
