Junior Academy News October 2017

The club is delighted to announce that the Junior Academy has reached record registrations with 125 junior members! Whilst this is great news it does now mean that anyone wishing to join the Academy, which meets on Monday nights, will have to register online to join the waiting list. This was a very difficult decision to make but we have a duty to look after the safety of our members and adhere to the strict ratio of coaches to participants as well as working within the limitations of available pitch space. So please do not turn up on a Monday if you are not registered as we will have to turn you away. Contact our Junior Sec on bootsjuniors@gmail.com for further info.
We are also delighted to advise that 12 of our Academy members have been selected to attend the EH Junior Development Centre. These juniors will be taking part in a range of training sessions and activities to develop their skills and begin to stretch their potential. In addition, 4 young men and 3 young ladies who have come through the Academy are now playing for the Mens 1s and Ladies 1s respectively - a marvellous testament to the success of our Junior Academy.
None of these achievements would be possible without the fantastic commitment of 18 junior coaches who give up their time each week, supported by other club members.
