Ladies First Team Coach

Last season the Boots Ladies First Team was successfully promoted into the Investec Women’s Hockey League, Conference North.
We have aspirations to develop the play and approach to hockey to make us a competitive and sustainable Investec Women’s Hockey League team. It’s important to the club that the coach shares our aspiration to compete at this level, and maintain our Investec Women’s Hockey League status for the following (2014/15) season.
Essentials required from successful applicants:
- Commitment to attend all home and away games
(This includes leading pre match team talk, dynamic warm up and post match debrief)
- Commitment to plan, organise and take two training sessions each week
- Strong leadership , organisational and communication skills
- An extensive background in coaching hockey to both young people and/or adults
- Practical knowledge, understanding and experience of performance development in hockey
- Knowledge and understanding of current best practice in hockey coaching
- Clear evidence of CPD specific to hockey coaching within the last 3 years
- Hold or be working towards a minimum VRQ level 2 (or equivalent) coaching qualification
- Safeguarding and Child Protection
- Emergency First Aid
- EHL Gold Membership or evidence of Civil Liability Insurance
- Uphold club policies (available upon request)
Desirable:
- Organise video analysis of games and post analysis team debrief
- Contribute to the wider coaching strategy and development of the club
- Support junior development within the club
