Boots HC Men’s 1st Team, whose home is at the Notts Sports Ground at Ladybay, have won the East Mids Premier League in impressive style.
With one game still to play they are 9 points clear of their nearest rivals, Nottm Trent Uni, who they play in their final match at the Clifton Campus on Saturday at 1pm
With 21 games played they have scored 109 goals, the largest total in the entire Midlands Hockey Leagues. Skipper Adam Innocent, whose business is also based in West Bridgford is the league’s top goal scorer with 33 goals to his credit, closely followed by Adam Henfrey on 26 and David Ebbage on 16.
In addition to the league title the team are in the semi final of the England Hockey KO Vase . They play Haslemere HC from Surrey on Sunday 20th March at 12.30 at Ladybay having previously knocked out Oundle 4:1, Leamington 8:1, Aylesbury 5:0 and Keswick 6:2 in the quarter finals. The winners will go forward to the final on Sunday 1 May at the Lee Valley Hockey Centre in Stratford London, a legacy venue from the Olympic Games
