This weekend sees the Ladies 1s take on Kendal at the ladybay (1230 Pushback!). I'm sure they would really appreciate as much support as possible, so come down and watch!

Captains should be updating their results in the individual team sections, but for the few games I remember here are the results...I really must pay more attention!:

RESULTS

Mens 1s vs North Notts (I can’t remember the score…) I watched this game, and I’m pretty sure the Mens 1s won…

Mens 2s vs North Notts (0-1)

Mens 3s vs Mens 4s (I umpired and I don’t remember). The mens 3s won about 4-1 or so (*apparently 8-2) but it was a fairly even game for the most part and I’m sure captains will have been happy to see their teams play quite nicely at times!

Mens 5s vs Mens 6s: Another intraclub friendly, and the Mens 5s won. It was good to see so many juniors playing (and quite a few have stepped up to the Mens 4s and 3s this season) and I’m sure Graham and Steve will be looking forward to developing the youth over the coming season.

Ladies 1s vs Doncaster (3-5): The first game in national league was always going to be a tense occasion for the Ladies 1s, and unfortunately they lost 3-5 to Doncaster. They’ll be looking forward to welcoming fellow newcomers Kendal to the Ladybay on Satuday as the Ladies 1s have always capitalised on the home advantage!

Ladies 2s vs North Notts (Sat) – The opposition didn’t turn up, we’ll count that as a victory.
Ladies 2 vs Loughborough Students 2s (2nd XI Cup): 3-3 at full time, lost 1-3 on flicks.I played this game, so can pretty much remember what happened. Despite Loughborough Students being 3 leagues higher, the ladies 2s held their own and made the most of their chances to be ahead 3-1 with 10 to go. However, the students won two scrappy goals in the last 10 mins which took it to flicks. Unfortunately, the students had the edge in the flicks and go through to the next round. The Ladies 2s now play in the 2nd XI trophy for which the next round is November.
