Thank you to everyone who attended the Quiz feat. Pizza night at the clubhouse on Saturday 27th October. Thank you to Quizmaster Richard "Chippy" "Judes Dad" Chapman who compered with aplomb and gave us a good grilling, and Holy Calzone for supplying the half time pizzas *nom nom nom*.
In terms of the quiz activities, party poppers were popped, Joker played her joker and a magnum of red wine was drunk by one veteran member (Mr Plant). The winners were not independently verified, but apparently team Big Fact Hunt (Matty, Planty, Giles, Pip, Lauren and Robbo) won (narrowly beating Suboptimal, this author's team). Given the clubhouse wasn't locked up until 0130, we think everyone had a good night.
Next up is the Christmas Party, on Saturday 1st December, hosted at the Lady Bay Pub on Trent Boulevard! There will be a Karoke, Disco and Turkey Cobs all kicking off from 730/800- what else could you want? It was an absolute hoot last year, and hopefully we can make it even bigger and better than last year! The price is £5 a ticket, with all profit going to Macmillan Cancer Care, The Lady Bay's Charity of the Year.
