The Vets Turn on the Style to go to the last 32

On Sunday 25th November, the Mens over 40's made it through to the last 32 of the national vets tournament with a thumping 10-0 victory over Lichfield.
With a very strong 11, the vets were 4-0 up at half time, and turned on the style with a further six goals in the second half. Dave Hack with 4 and Mark Fish with 3 were the star strikers. Mike Storey notched a brace, and the final goal was kindly scored by Lichfield.
For some of the team it was their third game in four days following a vets friendly on Thursday and the usual Saturday games. There's life in the old legs yet.
The next round is on 12th Jan, with another home game against Worcester. With Bridgford and Beeston (beaten by Worcester) both out of the tournament, Boots are flying the flag for Nottingham hockey. Please turn up and show the vets the support from the club
