Ladies League Games Begin!
The league starts for the Ladies 2s to 5s on Saturday, with the final week of friendlies for the men. Now we’re into league games, I actually know who people are playing away! There's no league games at the bay, but there are a few friendlies.
Thank you to club members for their support on Saturday of the first national league game at the bay. Just to warn you, 5th October is a smashing Saturday of fixtures so don't plan anything but hockey!

National League + Friendlies Mark 2
After last weekends games, which saw victories for the Mens 3s and Ladies 4s and draws for the Ladies 1s and 3 it's time for the Ladies 1s to begin their campaign in the Investec Womens Conference North with an away game at Doncaster. Doncaster finished 7th (/10) in the league last season, with only one home victory all season so I'm sure Andy, Karen and the girls are looking forward to Boots' first ever game in nation league. Click below to find out all the results from last week, and discover what's going on at the bay this weekend!

New Coach for Ladies 1st Team
The Boots Committee are pleased to announce that Andy Fairbrother will be coaching the Ladies 1st Team as they prepare for their first season in the Investec Womens Hockey League.
Club members will already know Andy, as he has been involved with the club as an occasional player and club coach for the last few seasons. He has experience of National League hockey (both indoors and out) with his most recent successes working with Leicester Ladies to help them achieve 2 National Indoor titles. He returns to coaching outdoor hockey having previously coached Nottingham Highfields (now Beeston Ladies) in the National League.

Ladies first team looking for new coach
Last season the Boots Ladies First Team was successfully promoted into the Investec Women’s Hockey League, Conference North.
We have aspirations to develop the play and approach to hockey to make us a competitive and sustainable Investec Women’s Hockey League team. It’s important to the club that the coach shares our aspiration to compete at this level, and maintain our Investec Women’s Hockey League status for the following (2014/15) season.
